Great fisheye lens!

Strengths: High quality, takes great pictures, excellent clarity, cool distortion- everything you would expect from a nikon lens!

Weakness: A bit pricey

My wife wanted this lens as a sort of "fun" lens, since its uses are limited. However, the pictures that it takes are way cool and offer a distortion that can't be had with any other lens! Although a bit on the pricey side for a lens that will not be used all that much, I suppose it will be worth the shots that it does take!

Have Fun with Amazing Nikon Fisheye

Strengths: excellent picture and built quality, light weight and fun to use

Weakness: None so far, love it

This is an amazing lens that offers excellent picture quality and is fun to work with. I have had this lens for about 2 weeks now and I haven't removed since. This lens isn't for film camera. For film camera, get Nikon 16mm Fisheye. It has 10 optics elements in 7 groups and is solid metal built with plastic hood and front cap. This lens is made is Japan (you will mostly find lenses made either in...

Nikon Fisheye AF 10.5mm f/2.8G ED DX Autofocus Lens

Strengths: Very compact and lightweight with Nikon quality.

Weakness: Doesn't come with hard storage case.

The Nikon Fisheye AF 10.5mm f/2.8G ED DX Autofocus Lens allows the user to capture a very wide angle perspective with a Nikon mount digital camera. This lens was purchased from Canoga Camera in California. I use mine with the Nikon D2X. Images captured with this lens and processed with the Nikon Capture software (sold separately) can be defished to yield rectilinear images which I estimate to be...

Nikon 10.5 mm AF DX F2.8G ED

Strengths: The sharpness of this lens is amazing - The closeness of focus is extremely good - You can have oodles of fun with this lens without the "Round" shaped frame of most fisheye lenses

Weakness: Not really a weakness - But if you are like me and are a busy photographer - Keeping that front element scratch free will be a challenge!

I was first given this lens to use by a storm photographer friend of mine whom I was taking his portrait for a magazine - I couldn't take the lens off! I love takining portraits with a wideangle any way and this thing was just unbelievable - There is definatly a time and a place for this lens and I think if you started shooting everything on it that it would get a little tedious - But to add 1 or...

Fisheye Pictures Actually Attracted Busienss

Strengths: Full frame fisheye - no dark corners

Weakness: No hard carrying case or extra protection against scratches

I've had the lens for 3 years and it's served me very well in both my wedding and nature photography businesses. There's one picture I took at a wedding that I now use on all of my promotional material and it sets me apart from other photographers with "typical" wedding images. I've been told people were attracted to that particular picture and that's why they chose me. The same is true for my...

Nikon 10.5mm dx lens

Strengths: tremendous angle

Weakness: price

This lens gives an amazing angle of view with great speed. Together with Nikon Capture the fisheye view can be converted into a panoramic wide angle picture. Cool indeed. So far so good.

Nikkor 10.5mm Fish Eye Lens

Strengths: Very sharp view, nice view coverage of 180 degree for close space, good portrait capture too with some curves things around.

Weakness: None

Please buy this Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye lens if you have the d70. It is the perfect match. Don't ever buy the Russian Zenitar 16mm fisheye instead of this Nikkor lens. The Zenitar never can match to this lens quality.

Nikkor 10.5 F/2.8

Strengths: Great lens. Getting really close to the subject works. Very sharp.

Weakness: None other than the exposed glass.

It can set mood by changes in light over a wide area. I've got a shot of a domed enclosure taken by laying the camera on the floor and shooting straight up, it gets lots of comments in my portfolio. D300
