It offers very good photo quality, a 28 - 336 mm lens, a nice combination of automatic and manual controls, a large LCD, and a HD movie mode. I have a professional photography background. I wanted more than easy, quick snapshots. If you want easy, quick & great-looking photos and videos, this is the camera for you. The HD video is amazing in well-lit and low-lit places. As well, I'm impressed with the built-in microphone. For most users, the built-in microphone will be fine. I would like to see a plug for a cord/cordless microphone....
