Product Details of Joby GP1-01P Gorillapod Flexible Tripod

Description

The Gorillapod firmly secures your compact digital camera to just about anything, anywhere and everywhere. Unlike traditional tripods the Gorillapod doesn't require an elevated flat surface for you to take the perfect picture. The flexible joints allow you to rotate and bend 360 degrees to form the perfect shape. This opens up a lot of new poses and angles for your photos and it's also safer for your equipment - no more crazy acrobatics and precarious positions for your valuable digital camera.

Great portable tripod

Strengths: Compact, very portable. Versatile, can put on almost any surface or wrap around any objects.

Weakness: Joints not strong enough to handle larger SLR cameras but great for compact cameras.

I've purchased this tripod right before a trip to NYC and it worked out perfect. I was able to take many shots with my wife without asking people around. We were able to put our camera on fences, trees, newspaper stands, a lot of places where a bulky tripod would have been cumbersome. We were also able to take great night shots of NYC from the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller center) using this...

Flexibility gives you great flexibility

Strengths: Inexpensive, compact and portable, allows for all kinds of camera positions

Weakness: droops a little sometimes

This little tripod is well worth the price. My teenaged "artist" loves taking off beat and unusual perspectives. This little tripod really fits the bill. The price is not outrageous and so even those amateurs can use it for successful picture taking.

revolutionary tripod

Strengths: holds onto just about anything, the feet are grippy, the legs are easy to bend and hold their position

Weakness: While it is more portable than a regular tripod, it takes up a bit of space in a backpack.

My husband and I have been able to take pictures with both of us in the shot pretty easily. It is much sturdier than I thought it would be, and it balances pretty effortlessly with the camera.

Nice protable tripod

Strengths: Very versatile. You can bend the supporting legs almost any angles you want.

Weakness: It won't support heavy cameras. My Olympus won't stay the position I want since it droops down often.

Longer legs are better, and the screw that connects to the camera becomes loose easily. Yet it is a very nicely designed tripod, and looks cute. Especially useful for light point and shoot cameras.

Gorillapod: The Amazing Little Thing

Strengths: Versatile; can work anywhere; Strong legs allow the tripod to be around anything!

Weakness: Lock/Unlock ring very hard to twist

This product is amazing. In a pinch, when you are out, or you have no one to take a group picture for you, this product is a savior. I even started going into setting and thinking where i could put it. You can even put it in places to add some flavor to your photography that you never thought you had. Well recommended. The only drawback I saw is the detachable piece. Apparently, to make your...

Gorillapod

Strengths: Light weight, ingenious design, quality tripod

Weakness: none

This is truly a great tripod for anyone with a digital camera. It is so light it can accompany you on any outing. Very versatile, I have been able to make it stand on anything that is level but its true beauty shines when you wrap it around things such as a door handle, tree limb, chair, just about anything. I have seen knockoffs in local stores but this thing blows them away with its quality...

Get a Grip!

Strengths: Small, easy to carry, easy to use

Weakness: none

This is great! The Gorilla Grip is an easy and convenient way to hold your camera still in order to get a good crisp picture without shaking. It is also great for self timer shots where you have to set up the camera on something so you can run and jump into the picture. It mounts on all kinds of things. We even used it to mount our digital camera onto our son's remote control toy truck and set...

Flexible and versatile

Strengths: It makes a lot of hard shots possible.

Weakness: I wish the tri-pods are longer.

I used it outside on a steep slope covered by icy snow. Although very slippey, it worked great. However, I also tried it at home on a chair. It didn't show enough grip at the steel bars when I turned it 90 degrees aside.

Makes a lot of impossible photos possible

Strengths: Lightweight and portable

Weakness: None

So many times on trips with just me and my wife, we would have to get photos with just one of us. Now in most situations we are able to get pictures with both of us. For a person like me who doesn't like carrying to much around, it isn't too big to tuck away. Don't expect it to do everything and you'll be okay. Highly recommended.

Gorillapod Tripod

Strengths: Flexibilty & Lightweight

Weakness: None

This is a geat little gadget. I first got to use my mother-in-law's Gorillapod Tripod, which she received as a birthday gift. At first I didn't think it would work, but I soon found out that it exceeded my expectations. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver for various pictures and is made really well. I recommend this product to any person who loves taking pictures.
